The Hidden Edit Project is a thoughtfully reimagined Singapore residence that plays with mystery, transformation, and bespoke design, creating a home that reveals itself gradually, space by space.
A Hidden Gem in Singapore: Sapana Jain Studio's Masterpiece of Secret Spaces and Seamless Design
Some spaces reveal themselves immediately. Others, like this striking Singaporean residence by Sapana Jain Studio, unfold slowly—layer by layer, door by door—like a well-kept secret waiting to be discovered. What was once a conventional three-bedroom HDB (Housing and Development Board) apartment has been masterfully reimagined into an intimate two-bedroom sanctuary, where every element is intentional, every detail is bespoke, and the lines between function and artistry are beautifully blurred.

a flow of function and fantasy
The dining area, positioned in front of the bar, is anchored by a custom-built live-edge dining table with an integrated console at one end, blending the natural and raw with clean modern lines. Above, the ambiance is further enhanced by a hanging lamp casting a soft, ambient glow. Ceiling beams subtly define the space, creating an understated division from the adjoining living room and a cozy atmosphere for intimate gatherings.
The living area is a fusion of subtle colors and vibrant pops that elevate neutrals to new heights. The fluted panelled wall, which also conceals a hidden door to the master suite, provides the perfect backdrop while adding textural depth. This thoughtful harmony between textures, understated neutrals, and gentle color accents imbues the room with warmth, personality, and sophistication. It’s a living space that beautifully balances minimalism and vibrancy.
Yet, it’s the right-hand wall of the living space that holds the home’s biggest surprise: a series of capsule-shaped elements that at first appear to be an aesthetic design choice but, in reality, conceal a world of hidden transitions — doors to rooms, closets, and glass cabinets that play home to treasured curios.

a home that surprises, a design that endures
What Sapana Jain Studio has achieved here is more than a home — it’s an experience. A space that doesn’t reveal itself all at once, but instead draws you in, surprises you, and invites you to look closer. A place where functionality is seamlessly intertwined with fantasy, and where every detail, no matter how concealed, is a reflection of thoughtful, intentional design. It’s a home built on secrets, designed to be discovered.
