Design and features

House of G, is a vibrant reflection of the clients and their personality. This residence amalgamates the focus of using diverse hues and colours with strong patterns and elements that enrich the space which makes it more artistic and vivid. In a residence like this, they brought in their customisation skills and adorned the house with it, from the artwork at the entrance to the painting on the ceiling, the prints on the kitchen shutter and the complimenting rug that combines the various elements and together creates a holistic home for the clients.

Art connoisseurs’ abode

The clients being very inclined to colours and art, love their quirks and are very confident about what they want to achieve. Similarly, they wanted their house to reflect themselves and wanted that to reflect within the design. The interior style is a balance between eclectic and contemporary. The forms and lines are contemporary, but the colours represent an eclectic style. So, it’s a perfect blend of the two which reflects the client’s personality.

The client’s inclination and fondness for art made them stumble upon a painting they saw which they loved. That painting used multiple vibrant colours and resonated harmony for the clients which they wanted to bring back to their residence. So one of the main inspirations and key concept was to ‘create a regular living within a vibrant painting.’ The designers brought in colour at every corner of the house and yet give a homely feel to the space.

Homely highlights

The design concept is primarily based of colours that are added in the space to replicate a painting. In order to ensure that it isn’t overwhelming a neutral base is used for the walls and floors, which was originally grey. This allowed playing with a blank canvas using bright yellow sofa, a green chair and a blue sofa with a black and white custom print at the back. Meanwhile, an open kitchen concept brought in a different shade of blue to the kitchen with a combination of red. All of these were brought together by two very important custom made elements: The ceiling and the rug, which enveloped the essence of all the colours in one creating a harmonious space.
